U.S. Government Delegation Visits Ugandan Development Partners

A senior delegation of U.S. officials visited Uganda on September 28-30, 2005. 

The delegation included Mr. Faryar Shirzad, Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economic Affairs of the National Security Council, Mr. Jed Meline, Director for Humanitarian Assistance and Emergency Response of the National Security Council, and Mr. Wade Warren, Director of the Office of Development Planning in USAID’s Bureau for Africa. 

The team met with President Museveni and other senior government officials.

The delegation visited programs supported by the United States Government with a view to better understanding the developmental context within Uganda.  The delegation visited program activities, which address the critical sectors of HIV/AIDS, malaria, agricultural productivity and education.
